| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Super-hoppy, but highly drinkable ale. A green flash of intense hop flavors and aromas from the blend of great hops. This beer for sure is all about the hops. dnstone (228), Mons, Belgium
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Slight floral hop aroma. Decent hop/malt balance. Golden with slight white head. The malt lingers in the finish. WLG423 (78), Connecticut, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Honey colored brew. Powerful pine sap aroma with a syrupy feel. Strong notes of herb, specifically oregano and rosemary, that balance out the hop character. A sweet and bitter flavor, nicely balanced and full bodied. Earthy and a subtly smoky with a nice hop bitterness. A nice but not overwhelmingly complex brew; definitely a winner. oteyj (773), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Bomber. Thanks Cliff. Appearance is straight up clear gold with a lively white head. Aroma is bursting with resin. Pine sap, spruce, evergreen of all different sorts, grassy straw, earth, and a moderate spicy juicy weed character. Malt character is toasty and caramel-like in nature, though hops prevail overall. Flavor is extremely pungent and resinous- further proliferations of sap, citrus, earth, and evergreen abrade the palate. Malt sweetness is moderate but quite overtaken by the vicious hop character. Sappiness is sticky in nature, with an incredible smacking finish. Incredible rendering of the style. craftycarl21 (560), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Light amber pour with a frothy white head, small, but with good lacing. Aroma holds massive amounts of sap, pine resin; obvious use of Nugget hops in this guy. Good notes of booze and herb too, with notes of oregano, manure, and rosemary. Flavor is excellent; more evergreen, herb, and earth, but with more citrus presence, and a more distinct caramel malt feel as well. This beer is an absolute hop bomb, but is still balanced and goes down extraordinarily well. Mouthfeel is very good. Impressive DIPA. BiddleBrau (330), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Hazy orange/amber color with thin white head. The aroma was very prominent even when the bottle passed under my nose. A big floral pine and citrus smell, very appealing. This is a big tasty beer. Hop flavor and bitterness are prominent, grassy and pine and lemon. Malt provides balance and some residual sweetness but aftertaste is a lingering hop flavor. Alcohol is very well hidden. Well done. popery (190), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2009 A good Imperial IPA that is right on the verge of being great. Dark orange, big head. The smell is bitter orange, pine and caramel. Big and fairly dry with a good bitter hop resin kick.
