Jun 4, 2009 Bottle. Poured a medium amber color with a thin off-white head. Decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is of caramel, yeast, spice, hops, and fruit. The flavor was spicy and yeasty with caramel malt but overall dominated by a sweet fruityness. Medium bodied with a slightly spicy, hoppy finish.

Jun 2, 2009 Nose is heavy belgian trippel smell, yeasty, sweet, just a hint of hoppiness. Flavor is a little alcohol heat right away, then bready, sweet trippel complement the hoppy IPA backbone. Neither one is particularly outstanding, though. Good, tasty beer and a novel effort, with some tinkering I think this could be great.

Jun 1, 2009 Medium body, offwhite head and slightly darker than I was expecting. Floral aroma of hops, what you would expect from an IPA but also a hint of the belgian tripel. I thought the taste was very complex, not as much of any aftertaste as I was expecting. This beer was a joy to sip.

May 25, 2009 Thanks dirtymartini. Pours a glowing yellow orange with a billowy offwhite head. Very sexy. The nose is hoppy, sweet citrusy hops, mandarin orange, mango, fruity, mild spicy/earthy yeasty character. Nice balance/blend of the two in both the aroma and flavor. Fruity citrusy hop flavor, mild mellow bitterness, a bit peppery and spicy, great yeast presence. Lovely beer with a great mouthfeel, soft carbonation with the perfect bitterness.

May 24, 2009 On tap at the brewery in Vista. Pours a hazy, darker orange body with a bigger, foamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves some soapy lacing. Definitely smells more like their IPA, but has some nice subtle Belgian characteristics. Sweet and sugary citrus and a nice floral perfume. Some barnyard spices and a sweet Belgian fruitiness. Similar flavor. Semi-resiny citrus, floral, and a sweet, but spicy Belgian yeast. Finishes dry with a lingering citrus and malt. Palate is light to medium bodied and crisper than the IPA. Overall, not bad. A nice change of pace from their IPA, but I think I prefer the IPA to this.

May 18, 2009 Cloudy orange appearance with a good sized white head. Aroma is of citrus, coriander, yeast and floral. Taste is of hops, coriander, orange peel, lemon and perfume.

Sweet floral and citrus hop aroma with some light belgian character in the background. Sweet fruity floral and citrus hop flavor with some belgian spice and candi sugar. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.
