Aroma was very strange, some sort of spice and garbage flavor? Flavor was much the same, maybe we got an infected btach but this stuff was bad. PaulHegedus (469), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada

What a fantastic, complex beer. Bartender called it a tripel. Internet calls it a hyrbid IPA/tripel. Poured golden orange in a small taster glass. Tasted citrus and banana in the hops. blklab2007 (983), Connecticut, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 17, 2008 22 oz bottle poured into a tulip has a copper yellow color and a thin white head that diminished quickly. aroma has spices, light citrus hops, nice floral yeast, candy sugar, over ripe dark fruit, flowery pollens, and dough. mouth feel is light with hefty biting carbonation. flavor is really unique and interesting. there is some upfront bitterness, spices, hefty yeast, and underlying hops that get drowned out a bit. sweetness is just enough to keep the bitters in check, dough, and alcohol. certainly an interesting marriage of styles and flavors hopdog (5630), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Bottle shared at Trapppeze. Pours hazy gold with a big white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, hops, spice. Pretty interesting. Taste is a liitte sour, with more hop bitterness, and yeast. Overall, this hoppy trippel is a nice smooth drinker. Body is light and carbonated. GuilTTy (538), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Bottle. Sampled at the Stock Market’s Wasting Craft Beer Tasting in Voorhees, NJ. Hazy orange under a generous and long-lasting off white head. Slightly sour but solidly citrus aroma that is very intriguing. Initially, the sweeter Trippel flavor profile pops out but it soon plays second fiddle to the more aggressive West Coast piney, citrusy, grapefruit hops. Sweetness grabs more attention again in the finish. Smooth texture. Perhaps an odd blend of styles but they play well with one another better than you might expect. Worth a try. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Cloudy orange/straw color with thin head and a fruity/orange aroma. Citrus and pine hop flavor, fruity but not sweet, the hops are most prominent in this brew but as expected it has a traditional Belgian tripel sweetness. Although the head is thin there is decent carbonation contributing to more intense hop bite.
