I found this one to be awesome. Poured a clear brown with reddish hues that made this beer appear burgundy at times with a thin foamy light tan head. Aroma of, you guessed it, nutts, malts and chocolate. Palate is smooth with a medium mouthfeel and light carbonation. Flavor reminds me of a chocolate nut ice cream sundae. This beer would be great with a dessert or have a few in replace of it instead. Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA

Flavor is nice roast with some nuts, some sweetness, and some bitter hops. Also a slight metallic note. Finishes crisp and has a lively mouthfeel. Dorwart (1821), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Thin offwhite head which does not last long. Rich nutty (pistachio) aroma with brown sugar, roasted malts and some raisins. Color is a very nice crimson brown. Roasty flavor with some light coffee, more nuts and sweet malts. Bit dry. Something is a little off in the flavor though. Finishes dry with a little bitterness and lingering green nuts. Starts off great but doesn’t finish so well. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
