Commercial Description:
The Nut Brown is an English-Style Ale having rich caramel malt flavors and drying nutty characteristics in the finish. British and Belgian specialty malts are used in this brew to enhance the depth of malt flavor and aroma. Mild hops are used to lend just the right balance to the lush malt flavors and medium body.

Kind of a cinnamon and brown sugar cookie smell to this one, some light maple or barkdust as well, but mostly the aroma is just a simple brown sugar bread crust and overall it’s faint. Hops are present, of course, mostly woody in nature, and the texture is light but not thin. More brown sugar crust and light hops in the flavor. A simple beer brewed really just for fans of brown ales to have something to purchase from Green Flash, and it’s not really anything to remember.

Bottled. Brown coloured with a medium sized light brown head. Malty with notes of nuts, caramel, dark fruit and hops. A bot too high carbonated. Somewhat dry finish.

Bakers cocoa, nuts and pralines in the nose. Nice dry clean and round mouthfeel. Big rich malt backbone really shines thru. Clean finish.

plain clear brown ale with a lovelly creamy, large tan head. Slightly nutty, malty aroma but its quite tame. very dark chocolate styled malt taste, coffeeish even, slightly nutty, some sourness( maybe the Belgian part) Nice mouthfeel, quite livelly carbonation. Overall a nice brown, its almost like a Porter Lite, well drinkable.

Pours a light brown with an off-white head. The beer has a nice smell of malts and hazel nuts. Tastes malty and slightly sour with some distant hazel nut flavors Also hints of dark chocolate. Lively carbonation. The finish is bitter and slightly sour with hints of horse bkanket.

Good aroma with a smooth nutty malt flavor. Good choice but it doesn’t stand out.
