| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2006 Pours a clear dark brown with a small to medium light khaki head. Strong aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Rich coffee flavor up front with hearty doses of chocolate and earthy/woody notes all carried by a strong backbone of roasted malt with just enough hops to keep everything in line. Texture is a bit thin and finishes with a flavorful flourish of roasted coffee. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2006 First thing I noticed was the carbonation. This beer was VERY carbonated. It had a bitter aftertaste, but lacked a balance of malt and hops, resulting in a very thin feel in my mouth. It is very refrshing though. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA

Reddish brown, 1 finger tan head.
Spotty lacing.
Roasty malt, caramel notes, light sugar.
Flavor is lightly nutty, burnt sugar, touch of sourness.
Nothing spectacular, but a decent beer. I would drink again if given one, or if it was a choice between this and Newcastle.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 22, 2006 Draught at Drafting Room, Exton: Nice aroma with scent of milk, nuts, malts, cream, and milk choclate. Sugary scent. Poured a nice, nutty, dark brown in color with a nice, light brown head that was creamy and thick in appearance and taste. Head lasted. Good lacing. Clear with a flashlight. Flavor was creamy and tasted like milk choclate. Not bitter. Moderatly sweet. Chalky finish was of medium duration. A little dry. Soft carbonation. Medium body. Overall, not really a brown or a nut brown, but good and easy drinking. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Nutty aroma, with some caramel malt and butterscotch. Tastes caramel malty and nutty, with some cacao and a heavy butterscotch element that seemed out of place. Not bad, but not a repeater.
