| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2006 12oz bottle- An aroma of malt and caramel on a dark amber body with an off white head that loses its retention. Taste of caramel malt with a dry nutty finish just like they say. A medium body. Good tasting brew. Braudog (3783), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 24, 2006 Bottle: Dark, dark chocolatey color with a beige rocky head. The aroma is reminiscent of a hot chocolate, too. This has a nice blend of flavors ... just a swirl of that chocolate, a little woodsy barkiness and a bit of candy tingle. This is a good ale to sip by the fireplace with a cigar. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2006 Courtesy of flacoalto. aroma has sweet plum, caramel, bread pudding, chocolate, candied nuts and fruit cake notes in decent concentration. The best smelling brown ale I can recall. Body is a red tinged brown and supports a limp tan head that barely forms into a quarter thickness before fading to a wsipy smattering of coverage. Fore taste is fruit, bread sweet with tongue biting carbonation. Those flavors carry to the finish and are joined near the middle by some dry cocoa notes that stay with the overall aroma profile. It’s a decent brown in my opinion, but it doesn’t leave up to the promises the aroma offers. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2006 12oz bottle via the beer swap box! - Thanks! - Pours brown with a fluffy offwhite head that stays well and laces the sides of the glass in layers. Aromas of chocolate, light nuts, and caramel. Flavor is chocolate, nuts, caramel, and some light hops on the finish. Medium body with a good creamy mouthfeel and pretty good balance. Fair carbonation for the style. This was pretty decent for a brown ale. Beaver (600), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2006 Updated: Oct 13, 200612 oz bottle. Pours a ruby brown with a decent fluffy off white head that goes to a film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is grains and a little chocolate with some vegetal notes.
The flavor is sweet nutty chocolate malts with a lightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation.
Overall a solid brown ale. I’m not a big fan of the brown ales anymore unless they are hoppy though. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Brown and clear with a nice foam head. Lots of nuts on the nose with decent hop contribution. Flavour is semi-sweet with lots of toasted notes. A nice well made brown. BuckNaked (1211), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2006 Green Flash tasting @ RFD’s: Pours to a mostly clear, copper-brown colored body - darker than ruby red let’s say - with a medium tan colored head that sticks. Aroma is mildly sweet nuts, light chooclate powder, milk chocolate, and hints of roasted malt. Taste is slightly salty with notes of medium-roasted, earthy malts, nuts, and hints of darker roasted malt linger in the background. Medium carbonated, medium bodied. My least favorite of the Green Flash lineup.
