| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Pours a dark nutty amber brown color with a medium sized creamy froth. Aroma is a malty pecan w/ bright hops and if you dig deep you’ll catch a glimpse of buttery maple. Medium nectar w/ soft residual effers. Flavors are dry and malty with a defined nuttiness. A slight metalic flavor simmering in the background. Goes down creamy and finishes w/ a perfect English bitterness.
A nice specimen. Highly recommended! kramer (2482), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 24, 2006 12 oz bottle, via fordest. Pours a clear dark brown body under a two finger beige head with decent retention. Aroma is of nutty, toasted malt, grainy huskiness, and light chocolate malt. Overall, this was your average Brown Ale, never exciting, but usually drinkable. guzzler67 (1285), Hanover, Maryland, USA
