Commercial Description:
The Nut Brown is an English-Style Ale having rich caramel malt flavors and drying nutty characteristics in the finish. British and Belgian specialty malts are used in this brew to enhance the depth of malt flavor and aroma. Mild hops are used to lend just the right balance to the lush malt flavors and medium body.

12 oz bottle. Nice toasty and slightly nutty aroma. Pour brown with slightly fizzy head, and some lacing on the glass. Flavor is of toast, with a little sweetness and nuttiness. Carbonation a little too aggressive for me. Solid nut brown ale.

A cloudy brown body with a nice tan head. Caramel sweetness, a little bit of chocolate and the nominal nuttiness all in the aroma. Caramel’s up front in the flavor. Not a horribly complex flavor though. Rather light bodied. Not terrible, just not interesting.

Pours amber / brown with a tan head. The aroma has nice toasted malt, hazelnuts, light cream and mild milk chocolate. Medium body that’s slick and smooth with fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts with the aroma traits, but a but sharp and crisp. The finish has a touch more bitterness and is quite dry. A good brown ale.

Has a great caramel to the malt, and a hint of cherry flavor. A bit thin in flavor and palate and failed to achieve greatness, but a solid beer.

Bottle. Pour is a translucent brown with a bit of a head that almost has a green edge to it... maybe it’s time for bed(?) Aromas are week but decent... nuts and brown sugar. Flavor is a lovely mix of sweet malt in the form of brown sugar and toffee with some nutty side notes and then back to sweetness for the finish.

This is an excellent nut brown ale. It starts with a very inviting aroma of caramel and chocolate, matching a thick mocha head and deep brown color. The flavor is a perfect medium-bodied brown ale - not too chocolate like Dogfish Head Indian Brown but not stringy and thin like Backdraft Brown. The finish is dry and nutty. A great session beer!
