Commercial Description:
A deep reddish-amber brew that is characterized by the savory toasted flavors of Munich malt. German varieties of hops are used in the brewing process which lends a European flare that is much like the "Altbier" style of Dusseldorf. Having a medium body and a firm, crisp finish gives the perception of driness, leaving the drinker quenched and ready to quaff another.

12oz bottle via the beer swap box! - Thanks! - Pours reddish brown with a short tan head that didn’t stay long. Aromas of caramel, and lots of floral hops. Flavor is caramel, maybe a little rye, and some floral and light citrus notes as well. Overall pretty malty but a touch of bitterness on the finish. Medium body and not a lot of carbonation. Quite an interesting Alt actually much more hop presence than others that I’ve had.. Not bad at all.

Color was a standout for me. Not too strong of smell. Malty and hoppy taste. More hops than I would have thought. I liked this more than most of the versions of this beer.

This had an average head. Not much aroma.Color was a red-brown.It had a decent bodied beer taste. No caramel or sweetness that I would expect in a red.Pretty much a boring beer.Very slight sourness. There are much better reds easily attainable than this.Pass this and get Red Nectar Ale.

Green Flash tasting @ RFD’s: Pours to a mostly clear ruby-copper colored body with a medium sized, light tan colored head that nicely sticks to the glass and lasts. The aroma is dried milk chocolate powder, caramel, and some nicely floral hops coming through as well. Taste shows chocolate, distinctive munich malt flavors (this from notes prior to reading the description), toasted bread, along with some very light floral hops that don’t take over at any point. Mild, though flavorful, and very drinkable. Quite dry.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle reddish in color with a beige head. Aroma was mostly malt with some hops coming through. Flavor pretty much followed aroma with the addition of a spiciness.

Bottled. Green Flash impresses me each time. I’m a huge fan of their IPA. This Red is nice and full tasting. Has that slight almond hazelnut aftertaste. Very smooth.

Bottle. Pours orange red with off white head. Aroma is earthy and nutty. Flavor is earthy: pine and nutty. Not too shabby!

From a bottle. The beer poured a dark red with a slightly off white head. The aroma was chocolate with sweet potatoes and rum. There was a chocolate taste with some earthy prunes. There was also a note of roasted almonds. A very smooth beer that woudl be great for a session.
