Bright, red hued brew. Nose of dry malts with a light nuttiness and some light citrusy notes. Med/light body, crisp. Malt flavors are dry, crystal malts, light hop spiceyness. Dry malty finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2006 Pours a beautiful clear dark amber color with a nice amount of froathy offwhite head. Aroma is sweet fruity citrusy hops. Some faint caramel whifs. Flavor is sweet and caramely, nuttty and buttery, with slight hop citrus bitter finish. Overall, I think this beer is way underrated. A tiny bit watery, but very very good. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a reddish caramel color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is sweet fruity hops but little else. The flavor is nutty with a caramel undertone and a bitter vague fruity hop presence. Unimpressive. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is malty with a few bisuit crumbs. Has medium to full nectar weight. Malt flavors predominate with a slight carameled rubber and busicuit goin’ on’s. Ample residual effers with a slight bittering on the finish. Well ballanced. Overall: good stuff. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Thank you Mr. FlacoAlto for the lovely bottle of brew!
Poured a dark amber body and a large creamy head. The aroma was a nice sweet bready blend of malts and some what I found to be non-traditional hop verity’s, I liked it! I was thinking this was going to be a true blood American Amber, Nope… definitely an Alt in style… wasn’t expecting that. The flavor brought a somewhat nutty, biscuity, hints of molasses sweetness, yet there was a nice crisp dry woodsy hoppyness that complimented and melded together a very nice brew!

Very thick palate for a DE filtered beer. Great toasted flavors with exceptional flavors in the hop range, very very balanced, an exceptional brew with a crisp dry finish, felt like I was in Dusseldorf!!!!!! Nutty, rich malts, sweet candy cane sweetness and a light bitterness. Very nice red ale, I wish I had more than just a small plastic cup of it.
