Commercial Description:
A deep reddish-amber brew that is characterized by the savory toasted flavors of Munich malt. German varieties of hops are used in the brewing process which lends a European flare that is much like the "Altbier" style of Dusseldorf. Having a medium body and a firm, crisp finish gives the perception of driness, leaving the drinker quenched and ready to quaff another.

Ruby Red in color as the name implies. Nice German Lace in the head. Great noble German hop aroma...very dry as a Dusseldorf style. Perfect palate. Perfect GERMAN ale in my opinion. 2nd place at the GABF

On tap and in growler in Vista Red to slight brown in color and clear...I saw the filters in the brewery. Very thick palate for a DE filtered beer. Great toasted flavors with exceptional flavors in the hop range, very very balanced, an exceptional brew with a crisp dry finish, felt like I was in Dusseldorf!!!!!!

There’s a nice foamy head atop this one, off-white in color, that dissipates to leave a tight layer of foam. The nose is full of hop character. There’s a piney/fresh character, as well as a fruity character. The taste is initially all malt. It starts with a taste of sweet malt, then moves on to a bready/biscuity maltiness. The maltiness is balanced in the finish by a strong hop character. The finish is also a bit dry. Carbonation and mouthfeel fit the style, but nothing earth-shattering there. A very enjoyable brew that I wouldn’t hesitate to try again.

Pretty fabulous. Redish color with small head. Citrusy, caramel aroma. Medium body, slightly malty and spicy. Very nice drink.

Pours a deep brown, with reddish highlights and a moderate, creamy-looking head. Aroma of some caramel, nuts, malts, yeast, and hops. Flavor is roasted malts, with nuts, a bit of hoppiness and some chocolate in there as well.

Isnt this named after a fucking kenny rogers song, or the first edition. Nice, solid with maltiness and a lurking hoppy bitterness that really made this seem like a malty red grapefruit. Very nice, very refreshing, very summer.

Pours a beautiful clear dark amber color with a nice amount of froathy offwhite head. Aroma is sweet fruity citrusy hops. Some faint caramel whifs. Flavor is sweet and caramely, nuttty and buttery, with slight hop citrus bitter finish. Overall, I think this beer is way underrated. A tiny bit watery, but very very good.

From a bottle. The beer poured a dark red with a slightly off white head. The aroma was chocolate with sweet potatoes and rum. There was a chocolate taste with some earthy prunes. There was also a note of roasted almonds. A very smooth beer that woudl be great for a session.
