Commercial Description:
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

As with any Green Flash beer the hops are prominent and I like that being that I am a hop head. It also makes the beer stand out among other stouts. Very delicious. Smooth and creamy. A black ass stout but those hops keep me smiling. It’s not classic. It’s not true to style but it is a tasty brew. A hopheads stout. Unique!

Bottle. Pours as dark a brown as there is with a thick tan foamy head. Nose is roasty malt and lots of chocolate some malted milk notes as well. Palate is thick and fluffy with an oily finish. Flavor is heavy on the malted milk and chocolate with some nice resiny notes and a thick film that resides on the throat after swallowing.

0.65 l bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Black color with thick creamy head. Roasty aroma with chocolate and licorice. Sweet and roasty flavor with chocolate and salty licorice. Hint of sharp alcohol. Tasty stout, although I don’t find this as complex as complex a 8.8 ABV stout could be.

A dark brown beer with a nice 3 finger head. The aroma was roasty, chocolate. The taste was roasty, chocolate, coffee, bitter-which is what I expect from a stout. Nice mouthfeel & enjoyable.

Source: KnB Aroma: Dark roast grains, pecans. Appearance: Dark brown to black, 1 finger light brown head. Flavor: Sweet dark malt with molasses and caramel, followed by a quenching strong bitterness that lingers slightly. Palate: Nice lively carbonation Overall: Enjoyable.

Another super solid brew from Green Flash. Not overly hoppy. Tons of chocolate roasty flavors. Alcohol isn’t noticeable at all. Big creamy palate.

Immense, dimpled oatmeal head. Color is so dark brown that it’s a cousin of black. Opaque but shiny, like the exterior of a bowling ball. Wispy tan lace. The smell is heavily roasted coffee and mocha malts; nearly burnt but not quite. Dark & semi-sweet chocolates. Milk chicolate with agitation. Mild coffee and chocolate. The taste is sweet and bitter both. Mild mocha coffee and light semi-sweet chocolate. Good bitter/sweet balance. Really nice; bitter at first, them milky sweet. Excellent balance. The feel is milky and creamy. Really smooht. A "wet" stout for sure. Overall, this is more like a proter. A little bit of sweet chocolate, a tad of bitter coffee. Perfectly balanced.
