The flavor is sweet roast malt and dark chocolate with underlying hops bitterness and some coffee notes. This brew is full bodied with some bitterness in the dry finish. Good stuff. Closer to an imperial stout than a regular stout, IMO...

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 14, 2009 ~ Purchased this 22 oz bomber from Shoreline Beverage in Huntington, NY. This double stout pours jet black with a small tan head that fades away into minimal lacing. For the aroma, all the usual suspects make an appearance with the addition of some light floral hops. Taste follows the nose with roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and a touch of hops. The finish is smooth and slightly bitter.
