Commercial Description:
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Bottle thanks to Bockyhorsey: Pours a nearly opaque black with dark mahogany edges and a spotty-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel and dark chocolate malts with a touch of coffee and smoke. Body starts with decent fullness and sweet dark caramel malts with a nice balance of raisins and plums before a smooth roasty finish. A pretty standard imperial stout.

Bottle… Thinkin’ ‘Bout Thirteen Hours O’ Drinkin’ (tew man wrecking crew)… Eases its way into the glass and then sits menacingly black with a mid-sized, creamy, well-tanned head. Good retention. The nose is of dark roast coffee and cocoa… two of life’s greater things. Medium to full-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and active carbonation. Burnt, bitter charcoal and unsweetened dark chocolate with a faded suggestion of smoke. The finish is all coffee grounds and dried, bitter cocoa.
