padrefan98 (646), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Sampled at the Second Anual Stone Sour Festival on 7/20/2008. A very nice belgian ale with some sour qualities. Very good.
hopscotch (4595), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Sep 4, 2008 Draft… RBSG ‘08… Murky caramel-colored ale with no head. Acidic, fruity, woodsy nose. Medium to full-bodied with an afterthought of carbonation. Well-balanced and woodsy. Less tart than the aroma and a touch vinous. Lengthy, lightly acidic, medium bitter finish. bb (2168), Martinez, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 Draft. Slightly hazy amber beer with a big cream colored head. Tart, green apple aroma with light spice. Tart, green apple flavor with malt/wheat, spice, light lemon and just a bit of wine coming through. Medium bodied. Tartness lingers with yeast and spice, green apple, and light lemon. JMFG (1177), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 On tap @ The Linkery. Cloudy copper-orange color, thin persistent white head. Light palate, lightly carbonated. Light funk and citrus present on the aroma, very light Belgian yeast tones. Taste was mainly a tart funk and Belgian yeast show, backed by some sweetness. The hops come out more in the finish, accenting the brett nicely. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 RBSG: Tap @ The Linkery. Poured a hazed orange color with a thin off-white head. The aroma was pretty nice smelling like tart orange skins and wood. The flavor was mildly tart with a dry hop bitter finish. To me the flavor was lacking compared to the aroma. Light to medium bodied. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 From tap at the Linkery. Aroma is dense brett and woody. Look is strange muddy orange with no head. Aroma is stunning orange, hops fruity and wood. Dense orange flavoured and wooden dry, tart too. Dense and dry finish yet smooth and wooden. Looks terrible but aroma/flavour is fantastic.
