Sep 30, 2008 2007 Vintage. Thanks to Hellbilly for this one! Cloudy copper pour with fluffy white head. Fruity nose. Full bodied. Notes of grain, candy sugar, citrus, and alcohol.

Sep 16, 2008 Spicy fruity nose with candied roses. Dense foamy head, great lacing, brilliant orangey/amber color. Peppery sweetness, some banana, and enough bitterness to balance it. Body is full and has a frothy mouthfeel. The finish is the key, all the flavors explode then slowly drowned into a smooth alcohol burn. A bit more aggressive than expected, but a very tasty beer.

Sep 14, 2008 Pours a coppery burnt orange, cloudy with a lasting moderate white head. Aroma is blend of Belgian tripel and IPA, but not as pungent as either. aroma of citrus, earthy grain, hay, flowers, uncooked bread dough, and spruce. Tastes of doughy malt, hay, grass, earth, tangy yeast, flowery hops and vague citrus. Finishes mainly with the pungent yeast flavor but more citrus hops, grass and earth than most tripels finish with. The yeast seems cleaner, however which I don’t prefer. Medium bodied and soft carbonation make this easily drinkable for me. Decent beer that I’d drink again.

Sep 12, 2008 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle @ Raja Liquors in Livermore, CA. The pour: Good caramel color, with very good head retention. The bouquet: some good maltiness, breadiness, and fresh yeastiness, as a trippel should be. The palate: creamy, I agree with the banana aroma, but also with hints of fuits such as peaches or nectarines. The hoppiness that come through lets you know this is a "California" brewed trippel. The finish is mild and pleaseant. This is a slighlty lighter version of a Rochefort trippel. Great job!

Sep 11, 2008 (bottle): Pours a golden fizzy body, somewhat opaque. Creamy off-white head, fine bubbles, lastingish. Belgiany flowery sweet taste. Some spiciness, maybe clove, or corriander? Spicy taste, floral, somewhat sour. More sour as it warms. A little too sweet as it warms up. Soft mouthfeel, somewhat bitter hoppy.

Sep 7, 2008 Aroma is pleasant. Hints of banana over the maltiness, quite good, but a twinge of alcohol.
Appearance is decent, a bit cloudy on the second pour, but is to be expected.
Flavor is initially great, but the sweetness tends to wear on you a bit as you continue drinking. Has the alcohol warmness of an 8.5%, but isn’t overpowering, like other lesser Trippels. The banana comes out a bit with what almost tastes like peach.
Palate is good, especially for the style. A bit heavy, but creamy. Nice.
Overall, quite a good trippel. I like the fruity hint, and the added alcohol iisn’t off-putting as it typicaly is for the style. Nice stuff, again, Green Flash.

Sep 6, 2008 Cloudy copper color with a tall white head. Aroma of spice, fruit, and yeast. Yeast, spice, alcohol, and fruit dominate the taste. Very nice.
