Commercial Description:
Rich pale malt flavors provide a solid base for zesty Styrian Golding and Czech Saaz hopping. Trappist ale yeast contributes the fruity, spicy profile of classic, monk-brewed, Belgian ales. Our Trippel is luscious, fiery, golden brew and a contemporary rendition of traditional Belgian Trippel.

Bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy golden color, medium off-white head leaving some lacing. Clove, and fried plantain aroma? Sweet, malty taste balanced by some bitter hoppiness. Good, medium bodied mouthfeel with decent carbonation. A solid trippel, but nothing to write home about.

golden, slightly orange color with a thick white head. mild aroma, some clove and candied sugar. mild to medium flavor - tending towards a sweet mouthfeel. I think this would score a lot higher of the pepperiness of the Saaz was increased a bit.

Light golden pour, thin head, maybe a lace or two. Aroma was slightly haylike. The flavor was an apple/banana malt base with a mild hoppiness and some zing from the hops. Not overly sweet and more dry on the tongue. No problems or flaws and pretty drinkable, but not going to knock any socks off either.

The beer pours an orangey amber color with a thin off white orange amber head, the beer is clear and highly filtered. The nose is grassier and hoppyer then I would have thought. The taste is slightly yeasty with heavy hints of hay and hops. This a good triple but a little hoppy for what I look for. Leave it to some boys from CA to hop up a Belgium triple.

A good amount of carbonation, but not as much as I’ve seen in some Tripels. Flavor is strong with banana, cloves, bubblegum. Not a terribly thick body, not terribly sweet either, which I think is closer to what the style should be. Interesting.

[1359-20080517] Bottle. Wheaty fruit grain aroma. Hazy, light orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Flavour has a bit of banana wheat. Medium body. Nice finish, light and fruitily refreshing.

Poured from bomber a hazy golden with large off-white head lacing as it recedes. Aroma is is strong with yeasty banana bread, clove, and a somewhat caramel sweetness. Flavor arrives with a typical belgian air - lots of yeast, sweet fruity caramel, banana, spicy clove and lots of carbonation. Palate is spicy sweet. I like this one, but could use a little less sweetness and a bit more spice. Overall good job, would drink again.
