Aroma has some Belgian pale malts along with sage, mild bubblegum and peppery herbal hints. The carbonation is lively at first, then it mellows to a creamy feel. Somewhat earthy flavor. Has some sweet notes upfront of honey and mild bubblegum. There’s some spices, dirty herbal hops, and peppery alcohol that come through to balance and make it drinkable; though it is a bit simple. larryLSB (163), La Selva Beach, California, USA

Excellent flavor, medium to full body, and thick texture. Overall an excellet beer, going very well with tonights Corralitos pizza (apple smoked sausage and apples). stefanje (950), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 26, 2008 650 ml bottle from Bev4less. My bottle is the "Third Anniversary" ale. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-copper color with a big white head. The aroma is understated with a perfumy-floral nose characteristic of many Belgian yeasts. The flavor is mild with sweet yeasts, apricots, and biters. The mouthfeel was inconsistent starting out thin but developing into a malty effect by conclusion. The finish is medium in duration and off-flavored. Overall: not one of Green Flashes more inspired efforts; they really can do better. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours out a brownish yellow color with a white head on it. The aroma is pretty much full of citrus, wheat (?), some spcies, and even some hops. Taste is sweet but the hops help balance it out some. This one is actually drinkable, and typically I do not care for Tripels much at all. Fruity, sweet, some bitterness, easy to drink - all of them describe this beer. Not a bad offering really. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Toasty and mildly sticky. Good attempt. 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
