Commercial Description:
Rich pale malt flavors provide a solid base for zesty Styrian Golding and Czech Saaz hopping. Trappist ale yeast contributes the fruity, spicy profile of classic, monk-brewed, Belgian ales. Our Trippel is luscious, fiery, golden brew and a contemporary rendition of traditional Belgian Trippel.

Purchased at Perfect Pour - Dark hazy gold, thin white fizzy head. Nose held notes of honeyed citrus, cotton candy, and touches of spice. Dry citric fruity flavors balance over earthy spiced honey tones. Just a hint of hoppy bitterness in the end helps round out some sweetness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Decent, but not their best by any means...

22 oz. bottle, no bottling/freshness date, short blurb in the lower center of the label, sampled in a chalice. Sediment is visible in the bottle. L: Sunburnt orangy golden with fine specks of yeast sediment, ecru colored head of fluffed foam that settled into a thin bubbly ring, light amounts of spotty lace clings to the sides of the chalice. Overall, a good looking tripel, almost Belgian looking. S: Banana and golden apple esters that mesh with the solvent alcohol scent. Giving the chalice a slow swirl brings out pears and golden raisins, plus hints of clove and baking spices, then the solvent alcohol note returns to bring things back to average. In some ways this reminders me of a good malt liquor. F&T: I find the body to be a tad full and hefty for the style, the carbonation appears to be active, making the body firm feeling, but the heftiness cuts down on any creamy crispness, so this tripel winds up feeling sternly stiff. I also don’t like the way the alcohol sticks to and coats the tongue, I had a slow alcohol burn for the whole duration of the taste. The alcohol is spicy with a warm golden orchard fruitiness, like if you mixed a blender full of vodka with golden apples, pears, bananas and threw in pinches of clove, cardamom and pepper. A delicate hop spiciness in the dry finish, giving the alcohol an even more peppery taste. I can’t shake the feeling that is more like a decent malt liquor than a tripel. The alcohol has the sting and burn that you find near the end of a 40 oz., when the malt liquor has a chance to warm up a bit. I think Green Flash is a above average brewery, but I won’t be buying this again.

22oz. Hazy orange color with dense white head. Spices, orange, yeast, and a little jammy. Some alcohol comes through. Flavor is lackluster but not bad. Stone fruit and light hops. Decent.

Apricot nose. Shimmering amber, medium white head, good lace, and streams of carbonation. Weak flavor of apricot and lemon. Cheap malt remains on the palate. This is the tamest tripel I’ve ever had. Clean and drinkable, but lackluster.

Hazy, golden, nice head. Sweet pale malt nose, spices, banana esters, Medium bodied, lush, fizzy, solid pale malt base, spices, herbs, distinct yeast character, goldings provide solid hop flavor, warming, dry finish. Good trippel. Par for the course. Drinkablle.

Fully hazy orange-ochre beer with a good off-white, dense head. Bit spiced, dough, coriander, little amount of yeast off-products, sourish. Coriander, high temperature flavours, little citrussy flavour. Bit lactic, but still refreshing. Creamy texture and spritzy MF. Not a bad beer, but always those high temperature offshoot yeast products...

How wonderful. Birght golden color with a huge fluffy mountain of a head. Honey, pineapple, banana, and allspice in the aroma. Flavor is extremely sweet and fruity with no trace of alcohol. Makes me feel good about myself.

22oz. Pours hazy golden straw color with medium head. Spicy aroma and very tasty with clove and citrus flavors ... nice complexity to this brew. Excellent job again by Green Flash. I will stock up on this brew since Belgians are getting a little pricey.
