Commercial Description:
Rich pale malt flavors provide a solid base for zesty Styrian Golding and Czech Saaz hopping. Trappist ale yeast contributes the fruity, spicy profile of classic, monk-brewed, Belgian ales. Our Trippel is luscious, fiery, golden brew and a contemporary rendition of traditional Belgian Trippel.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, golden color with a moderate, frothy white head. Aromas of bananas, wine, and hints of wheat. Lively mouthfeel with a relatively slick, then clean finish. Flavors of bananas, wheat, and biscuit are abound. Good beer but there are many triples to purchase that are much better.

pretty good trippel. Spicey flavors with a kindof dry finish. Not as huge of a fruity profile as I would have expected. Not bad.

22oz bomber from 16th St. Liquor in West Van. Pours a slightly hazy golden with thick, bubbly head. Aroma is fragrant and slightly spicy with some sweet fruit notes. Taste isn’t as rounded as expected. Fairly one dimensional but pleasing tartness with some clove and honey. Don’t get me wrong, this is a well made and satisfying beer, just not a standout in such a tough category with so many better offerings.

Hazy golden beer with a foamy off white head. Alcohol, hair spray and some spice in the nose. This is a pretty thick triple, with lots of honey sweetness, spice and yeasty bread. Lots of alcohol in the flavor.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting - Pours hazy, light copper with a one finger lingering head. The aroma is of yeast, malt and some alcohol. The flavor has some lightly fruit accented malt, yeast, and again the alcohol presence is a bit more forward than I expected. There’s a mildly dry finish. It’s good, but I’ve had a number of better tripels.

22oz bottle poured into a Trappist glass. Starts with little head that quickly fizzles away. Has a strong clove nose. The taste is dominated with tart start with hints of apples and bananas. This one remains friuty throughout with a caramel backbone and ends with the 9.7 standing out.

Hazy orange amber with a full two-finger head. spotty lacing, and the thinnest of retention. Spices and yeast highlight the aroma, with hints of tart apples and pears.Yeast from an overly aggressive pour was strong on the palate, which kind of dominated what probably would have been a pleasant honey sweetness and apple tartness backed up by citrus and spices. My bad. Light bodied, medium carbonation, and the sweetness lingers.
