Pours a slightly hazy peach-orange color creating a thin white head. An attracive lacing coats the chalice as it empties. Moderately assertive and clean aromas of apricot, peach, banana, wheat bread, spices, cloves, honey and orange rind are noted. Palate is smooth and slick and perhaps a bit under-carbonated for a Belgian-style Tripel. Flavors are certainly in line with the Belgian style Tripel but seem a tad rough around the edges. Flavors of banana, clove, spice, vanilla, wheat, orange and yeast are apparent but are don’t seem to be supported by the typical subtle malty/honey sweetness of a true Belgian Tripel. Well worth a try, but the authentic Belgians are heads above. Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA

Nose of banana and flowers, and a smooth and slick mouthfeel. Flavor is of banana, yeast, oranges, coriander, and alcohol. A little hops in the finish. I liked this a lot, and found it very easy to drink. eyesandsmiles (179), Mission Viejo, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Dull golden colour, very lightly hazy. Off-white, frothy head. Smells of Danish wedding cookies, oranges, tea and dough. Cookie sweet flavour with fruity acidity and finishes with a light grassy bitterness. Slick texture with heavy carbonation. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2007 This golden bodied brewski smells just like lemon bottled tea in the skinnier glasses, smells more like sweet malt in the fatter Duvel glasses. Doughy sweet malt. Not a lot of hops. fozapd (33), Burlington, New Jersey, USA

I really like belgium style brews but this one just seemed to be missing some of the flavor. It had some banana, and spice but it just didn’t do it for me. I won’t go here again for a tripel. I lie if I saw the Anniversary Tripels I’d buy em’ --- I’m weak what can I say? :-) rmussman (905), California, USA
