Commercial Description:
Rich pale malt flavors provide a solid base for zesty Styrian Golding and Czech Saaz hopping. Trappist ale yeast contributes the fruity, spicy profile of classic, monk-brewed, Belgian ales. Our Trippel is luscious, fiery, golden brew and a contemporary rendition of traditional Belgian Trippel.

22 oz bomber. Pours a hazy light gray/orange color with a medium white head. Aroma is floral with a hint of lemon and of freshly mowed grass. Taste is floral and rosy with spicy hops. Not bad, but nothing spectacular here.

Bottle shared by my friend Brian. Pours golden amber with white head, and good retention. A somewhat weak aroma for a triple, but I pick up some faint yeast and spicy hops. Flavor of pear, citrus zest and wheat malt. This transitions to a clove and faint white pepper spiciness before the mild hoppy finish. Some chalky texture on the finish. Not too bad. There is nothing wrong with thinking outside the box when brewing a Tripel.

Poured an orange/yellow; medium white head. Very clear. Aroma of citrus, hops and sweet malt. Surprised by lack of yeast present. Flavor strange for the style. Middle dominated by malt. Would have liked more yeast. Some hops, sugar and pine flavor. Enjoyed it, but not good representation of style.

Pours a yellow/gold, very clear, with a soft white head. Citrus nose with a light hop character and faint spiciness. Sweet fruity citrus character up front with a lightly dry finish and light spiciness. Not as dry or spicy as most belgian tripels, could use a bit more carbonation to liven up the palate and could use a bit more yeast character to really bring the finish a bit more character.

Large white head of fine bubbles. Reduces slowly with good carbonation. Smoky? aroma with some sweet malts and yeast. Little grassy also. Color is a gright orange. Sweet and roasty. Little fruit and spice. The roastyness is out of place for this style. Good tasting brew just not what I would call a triple. Finish is a little dry with a slight bitterness. A decent brew.

22 oz bomber. Hazy yellow to orange color with off white head. The aroma was sweet sugar and lots of hops. Interesting flavor. A bit too bright at the sweet and hoppy ends of the palate spectrum. The sweetness is slightly fruity and candy sugar. The hops are pine and grass. The mixture of flavor notes don’t work together too well. I get an odd tartness in the after taste. Overall it was a bit disappointing.

Courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thanks, Dave.
Body is a golden orange and holds a thumb thick lasting white head.
Aroma is sweet white fruit, yeast and a massive (for the style) hop presence. Some light herbal and dried black tea notes as well.
Fore is again sweet white fruit, black tea, lotsa hops and fairly noticeable alcohol. It’s clearly got the hallmarks of a Belgian beer, but it’s so hoppy it’s distracting. It’s not satisfying as a hoppy beer or as a Belgian ale.
