Massively pine aroma with some honey notes. Terrifically hoppy, some maltyness to back it up. Lingering extreme bitterness. I’m not even a huge fan of unbalanced IPA’s but this one is pretty nice. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Taster at the brewery. Dark yellow pour with a big white head. Very bitter, aroma and flavor, seemed a little harsh for my liking, would like a little more balance. Overall pretty decent, but not my type of IPA. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Beautiful cloudy dark orange pour, wispy head with some lacing. Stunning aroma presents hop leafiness and spiciness and develops some floral character as well. Great spicy hop character that develops plenty of grapefruity bitterness. Lovely smooth mouthfeel with good carbo. Fantastic. Just fantastic.
