Pours a dark amber orange color with a big frothy white head. Looks like a gorgeous IPA sitting in the glass. The aroma is strong piney, citrus, cascade floral notes. Flavors are just plain awesome. There’s a nice crisp malt backbone, but then you get to the good stuff, the hop profile. The Centennial’s in this thing DOMINATE and I love it, probably one of my favorite hop varieties. That piney taste is so perfect in this beer, it takes center stage, with support from hints of citrus like flavors and floral notes. Wish i could drink this more, if only it were legal in my state...

Feb 18, 2009 12oz bottle thanks to my cousin dean for sending this my way.....totally transparent copper brown with a medium frothy white head....citrus rind hop nose.... citrusy hop flavor with a fair amount of a bitter finish. nice carbonation and long lasting bitter hop bite. i prefer a more tropical fruit hop profile but this certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Feb 16, 2009 Great Hop aroma. Dark amber color with light tan head. Nice smooth taste with hop aftertaste. I could easily drink too much of this. Well-balanced beer. Leaves a nice lace on the glass. Very tasty.

Feb 13, 2009 12oz bottle courtesy of screach. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a thin white one finger head that settles slowly and laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of citrus, grapefruit, ripe fruit, some hints of honey and caramel. Flavor is also floral and sweet with notes of citrus, grapefruit, honey, some grass and yeast notes as well. Generally light to medium body with a bitter hoppy finish.

Pleasant IPA, though without the malt backbone of an Alesmith, Victory Hop Devil or Lost Coast Indica. A somewhat standard issue Left Coast style IPA: reasonable malt sweetness (think honey, kids) paired with a mighty hop arse whooping. Very good, but not great.

Feb 10, 2009 Wow, this was a whole lot more bitter than I was expecting. Now that I look, 95 IBUs makes perfect sense. Great nose that pulls out a kind of unique citrus sweetness that I am not sure how to describe, but feels unique. Could it be mango? In any case, citrus with a different kind of sweetness. Nice beer, but I have a hard time rating IPAs; there are too many good IPAs out there. I think personally I prefer this over Nugget Nectar, but Two Hearted or Celebration will probably stay on stand-by. Good beer though.
