Commercial Description:
This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

On CASK at San Diego Brewing Co. Dark amber, with very little head. Low carb, probably due to hand pump no doubt. Smells hop bombish. More hoppy nose than piny or sweet. Hops on the first taste, to sweet, to bitter. Nice.

Thanks 17thfloor! Pours a glowing hazy copper orange with quite a bit of sediment and a small off-white head. Aroma is bursting with hop oils and a nice grape fruit and pineapple. Slight caramel malt but mostly earthy and hoppy. Flavor starts out with the exact same burst of hop oils on the tongue and quickly moves to a a sweet and citrus fruity middle. Finishes with a nice dry hop bitterness that isn’t unpleasant but leaves you wanting to take another sip to start it all over again. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Delicious IPA, definitely top notch.

Bottle at home ... copper ... big foam head ... that sickly sweet hop of American pale ales ... Way over fizzy ... sweet malts ... some pine hops... little biscuity ... little bitterness in linger

On tap at the Yardhouse in San Diego. Hazy orange, thick white creamsicle head. Huge resinous pine aroma, touch of citrus rind and mango. Huge hop explosion on the palate, bolstered by generous sweet malts. Finish is long and bitter.

Hazy yellow with a low head. Hoppy aroma of pine and orange. The flavour continues along the same line with citrus and a bit of caramel. Good, but nothing special.

Bottle thanks to SaCkErZ9 at BA. Hazy copper orange with a thick finger of creamy white head. Strong hop aroma, floral and spicy, a hidden maltiness carries it across. Heavy malt body, caramels and breadiness. Then a good bittering of spicy hops with a light citrus note.
