Aroma and taste are rich with flowers and hops. Quite bitter. A nice one for the hopheads. And that includes me. Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Sampled at Bevmo. Pours a thick, dark red/amber. Only a little lighter than their Hop Rod Red. Significant voluminous head. Aroma of very thick hops; made me expect a hop bomb. Taste was more subdued, but very resinous. The aftertaste had its own viscosity. Decent kind of IPA; very West Coast. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange color with a nice off white head. Aroma of hops, cirus and pine. Taste is hoppy and semi sweet. Has a very rich hop, grapefruit and malt flavor. Ends with a dry piney finish. harrisoni (6946), Ashford, Kent, England
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Bottle from Olbutikken, Copenhagen. Hazy copper, lasting creamy head. Grapefruit American hop assaults you from the kick off. But it’s a light citrusy hop rather than a heavy metallic one. Reasonable malt in mouth. Reminds me of a slightly more hopped SNPA. I imagine on tap this is pretty good, a little syrupy, a little metallic on the hops, which can happen. More hops doesn’t always means a more quality beer. Lots of green hop on aroma. The question is, do I like it? Well, I wouldn’t buy it again, there’s a lot of American IPAs out there and a lot I want to try. Yes, I love the hoppy aroma and hops in mouth, but it’s too aggressive and too metallic, malt sweetness does balance somewhat. Crit (2409), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Hazy amber, small beige head. Nose is citrus hops and light malt.
Faint malt start, citrus hop profile, lightly cat pissy. Not bad, but needs more malt backbone Jukkabro (3039), Tampere, Finland
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 29, 2008 Dark golden colored with hazy appearance. Medium sized yellow head. Strong candi sugar hopped floral aroma with slight toffee note. Medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with still flowers coming up, some toffee also here. Aftertaste dries strongly with still some toffee. Good one. JDUB (170), Beautiful Venice Beach, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Pours a clear orange with lots of soda bubbles and a small frothy white head. Earthy aroma with notes of pineapple, light caramel and lots of peaches. First taste is earthy bitter with some light caramel sweetness. Finishes salty. Great mouthful, medium bodied, fluffy but corse carbonation, lightly syrupy. Drinkable and full flavored.
