Commercial Description:
This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

Bottle. Wow!!!!!! This is what an American style IPA should be. Orangish color, solid head, good lacing. Tons of fruity, citrusy, beautiful hop aroma, with just a touch of malt sweetness lurking in the background. The flavor is everything that I desire in a well-crafted IPA. A solid malt backing that carries all of the hop goodness but doesn’t intrude on the overall flavor. Such a nice blend of bitterness and flavor in the blend of hops. It get resiny and sticky towards the finish. This may be my new favorite IPA.

Next to Bells 2-Hearted, this might be my favorite beer drunk on my recent stay in the States. Draft. Hazy bright orange with nice white head. Awesome grapefruit-floral-hoppy nose, really enticing. Flavor has a touch of sweetness, big juicy citrus-hop flavor with relatively moderate impression of bitterness, gaining sticky strength in aftertaste. Refreshing and delicious.

Copper orange body, creamy sticky beige head. Very focused grapefruit aroma, citrus, floral, piney. Extra dry flavor, very bitter, piney. Bitter floral dry-hopped aftertaste. Medium bodied. Probably best to drink with some food to help wash down the bitterness. Seems a little heavy-handed and austere in the hops department, and the flavor doesn’t quite live up to the aroma. Good, but from the ratings here you’d think this is the best thing since sliced bread...

Truly amazing! This is one of the best regular American IPAs Iv’e ever had. The first thing I must comment on is the aroma.....OUTSTANDING!! Definentely lost of grapefruit in the nose...which I love, and piney too. It pours a beautiful clear pale copper color with a head that stays till the fat lady sings, which is rare in an IPA. Very good lacing. The flavor is pretty bitter but not harsh. Not much malt characteristics at all, after all this is all about the hops. A real piney flavor which is not a bad thing. A great IPA. Lives up to the hype. .... Man I can’t get over that aroma....mmmm

Pours a clear orange amber color with thin, lacy head. Nose of crisp florl and fruity hops...orange, mango, white grapes, pine and honeysuckle. Flavor is just a fantastic hop bomb with a decent malt backbone to keep it from really ripping your palate up. Clean, bitter finish. This is very good.

12 fl. oz bottle GIVEN to me by Jan Primus (thanks Jan!). Pours a somewhat hazy orange amber with a few floaties. Aroma is ALL about the piney hops, it’s consuming.......Anyways, the flavour is more of the same, quite a bitter bite which is awesome, slightly high carbonation and with some sweetness in the finish, but not necessarily a lot of malts. Slightly boozy after a while too, but still hop ecstasy. Your textbook west coast IPA deliciousness.
