Commercial Description:
This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

Bottle from Coop in Davis, CA. This brew was similar to GF’s DIPA in that grapefruit was ever-present and it finished crisply. For a 6-pack of IPA, it’s either Stone or GF in Cali.

Bottle shared with Timfoolery. Poured an amber color with an amber hue. Smelled of floral hops. Tasted of citurs and had a good amount of malts to balance the hops. Good beer.

bottle. pours orange amber with lacy white head. piney, floral hop aroma. well balanced palate. solid resinous bitter but has the malt to make for a smooth taste. the higher abv is not at all noticeable. this one had been a bit hyped up, so my expectations were pretty high. so while it is definitely a top notch ipa, i was expecting a little more - something that would really set it apart from the pack.

Beautiful Burnt Orange color with almost perfect head. Nice hoppy nose with citrus and a little licorice. very intense hop flavor. Not enough malt to balance the hop in my opinion, but just my opinion. Finishes very nice.

On Tap at Yard House, Costa Mesa. Pours amber brown with fluffy white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Flavor is spicy and intensely hoppy, but finishes with a nice roastiness. A good IPA in the San Diego Style.

(Bottle at a beer tasting in Göteborg on July 4, 2008)
Shady orange color, off-white head. Sticky, green, hoppy to cheeze scent. Bitter, fruity taste. Big bitter lingering aftertaste. Smooth a bit moussy mouthfeel. Big bitterness. Warming alcohol in the stomach.

Tap. Pours a hazy amber with 2 finger off-white head and nice lacing. Nose is ripe citrus, pine and light sweet malts. Taste is tangerine, yellow grapefruit and caramel malt with a nice resin finish. Medium, semi-creamy mouth feel. A nice and hoppy IPA.
