The taste is extraordinary. Great bitterness, with hints of citrus pith and pine. Just a touch of caramel lurking behind the hops. Nice thick mouthfeel. This is one I was really looking forward to trying, and it lived up to expectations. Vas19 (299), Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Pours hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Obnoxious hop aroma, citrus and floral. Strong hoppy flavor, lots of pine and a decent amount of bitterness. A balancing malt flavor appears as it warms. I usually dont comment on this but this beer has ridiculous lacing. Good IPA. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a nice airy white head. Filtered-looking, non bottle-conditioned which is disappointing. Aroma is nicely hoppy with immediate citrus apparent. Grassy, slightly pungent, oranges and grapefruit. A very pleasant aroma though intensity is only moderately high for what I assume is a relatively fresh beer. Taste is smooth with some resiny hops in the middle, a smooth but noticeable bitterness and a nice lingering hop finish. Pleasantly dry with little to no residual sweetness. I’ve been interested in trying this beer after it beat out my go-to beer and favorite IPA in the finals of that one contest. While I definitely prefer Two Hearted to this, it is certainly a quality example of the style and one I would purchase often if it weren’t for a hefty price tag in Ohio. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Pours a dirty, muddy, murky copper. Teeny head of white still manages to deposit a thin sheet of lace all throughout the glass. Aromas are succulent with oily pungent hop notes. Grapefruit (rind and flesh), lemon, tangerine, and a hefty bit of marijuana. Sticky resinous flavors. Malts give a solid backbone, but the hops dwell in priority here. Bitter as it should be. Quite drinkable for the hophead; the novice need to work their way up to this. malrubius (1002), Valley Stream, New York, USA

Very aromatic flowery citrusy fresh hop aroma. Mild fruity caramel biscuit with bracing complex citrus hop finish. Medium body and carbo. Slight carbo bite. Excellent strong complex flavors. railcat1 (582), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2008 This is a good example of an IPA with a nice citrus finish and a good blend of hops and floral flavors which left a crisp refreshing finish overall a nice touch to the style.CHEERS! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2008 The pour is a nice cloudy copper with a small white head. The nose is grapefruit, pine and floral. The flavor has a nice simcoe kiss as well as other hop qualities, and an almost lemony aftertaste. A great and refreshing ale after a long day at the beach. mjs (1516), Helsinki, Finland
