| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 14, 2009 If this is what it tastes like after a trip all the way to New Zealand, I can only imagine how stunning this must be fresh. The aroma bursts out of the glass, all grapefruit and honeysuckle. There’s a hint of oxidised crystal malt though. On the palate, it’s firm, and assertively bitter, with a citrus burst, and a hint of wintergreen. The finish is just all bitterness. I love it. snuffla (98), Chch, New Zealand

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Sharp citrus and resinous nose, taste is heavy on the bitter grapefruit and very woody on the roof of the mouth. Solid, not extraordinary. mitchgt (12), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Pours an attractive orange-copper, with two-finger white head. Right up my alley: all bitter citrus hops and yet somehow balanced, with no apparent maltiness, unlike say the hop-heavy (yet/therefore) delicious Stone Ruination IPA. I put it somewhere between a Ruination and a Two-Hearted.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 3, 2009 Another great example of a great West Coast IPA. Golden color, citrusy and minorly sweet aroma, pretty dry, and lots more grapefruitish type on the end. Strong and bitter finish that sticks! tokyogoat (529), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Poured a golden copper with a small head and fair amount of lacing.
Nose was dominated by grapefruit and pine.
Taste is dry as a bone and hoppy as somethign that is really hoppy. Clean flavors, slight sweetness, mostly just a front end of hoppy bitterness with a piney mid, and a grapefruit finish. arminjewell (108), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Poured hazy copper with a nice white head, with a nice grapefruit/citrus hop nose. Tasted of strong hops in the beginning that finishes with a nice bitterness. Nothing over the top, but a solid IPA.
