So delicious...incredible amount of bitterness....amazingly smooth for 7.3%...so depressed I drank all of it already. Fantastic beer. HughConway (367), Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2009 (Draught) pours deep amber, very creamy head. Nose of sweet citrus hops, grapefruit and piney oils. Taste is a little too bitter for me, but well matched with the sweetness overall. Very creamy and delicious. tmoreau (588), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 20, 2009 12 oz. bottle at Lunar Brewing Co., Villa Park, IL. Poured a golden/amber with a foamy, off white head and draping lacing that coated the glass. The aroma was a bright, expressive layering of floral, pine, and citrus as grapefruit, hop notes, with the edge smoothed some by malt. In the flavor, the hops took center stage again, adding an assertive bitterness blended with a little sweetness and malt. A hop carpet for the tongue, with the bitterness lasting past the finish. A pleasantly intense IPA that I’ve been looking forward to trying ever since it won the Great Lakes Brewing News 1st Annual National IPA Championship early last year. dkingsella (92), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Pours a clear orange with minimal off white head that left a fair amount of lacing on my pint glass. Aroma and flavor are both chock full of grapefruit, pine and grass. Lots and lots of hops in this one. Don’t expect a lot of balance...not much malt to back up the assault on the palate from all the hops. Nice bitter finish. A fine example of the West Coast IPA style. andersand (365), Malmö, Sweden
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 13, 2009 A typical west coast IPA pumped up to max. Extreme bitterness from piney and grassy hops. Some sweet fruits in the aroma and sweet caramell in the flavour but in the aftertaste this beer murders your palate. A straight punch in the face of a IPA basically and I like it. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2009 12oz bottle, with everything you’d expect from a good IPA. Then wow,the hop...pine, citrus, fruit, floral. I like high IBU ales and this one got it right. Pipper (251), Ohio, USA
