Bottle (in NZ), pours a hazy orange amber with a yellowish head. Big piney hopped nose, with citrus notes and a touch of bubblegum and caramel - just beautiful. A massive bitter palate, that just keeps on getting more and more bitter. Soem biscuity malt sneaks through, but it is mostly grapefruit flavours that sap the taste buds. A huge beer - I’m expecting I’ll still be tasting it tomorrow.

Dec 9, 2009 aromais nearly subdued hops, salty lemons predominate. appearance is amber with little head and great lacing. flavor is huge juicy grapefruits and a carton of ’five-alive’ juice. stinging bitterness really lingers. kudos to the respectable ABV, this is the epitome of a west coast IPA, and great by any regions standards.

Dec 4, 2009 Bottle. 12 oz. Pours hazy orange-pink with a very fine, yet intensely creamy off-white head. Aroma of honey, grass, lemon zest, hops, and hints of caramel. Medium, pleasantly crisp body with a slightly tart mouthfeel and a very slow-burning finish. Great IPA.

Dec 1, 2009 This beer pours a medium amber color with a thin white head Leaving a little lacing down the sides. On the nose this beer is quite good, notes of spruce, citrus and dough. The flavors are pine, citrus, and a hint of vanilla for some reason. I really liked this one. Cheers!

Nov 30, 2009 A very nice west coast IPA, this is not my favorite category, but I think this has very good hops with a hint of floral and grass mixed in making it very tasty and a good beer to drink

Nov 29, 2009 Hazy orange-gold with thick fluffy head. Very powerful citrus and flower hops. Nice even bitterness, bold flowery hop flavor, long bitter hoppy finish. Great west coast ipa.

Nov 27, 2009 Poured a hazy light amber with a very creamy white head. Lots of lacing! Complex hoppy aroma. Citrusy, grapefruit, but with a sweet malty and honey flavor. Very nice!

Nov 26, 2009 Perfect head and orange color for an IPA. Nice citrus hoppy aroma. Good mouthfeel very bitter finish. Great hoppy taste. Overall a nice IPA but not the best. Recommended for a nice session IPA.

Nov 19, 2009 Wow, what can I say, other than they somehow stole my imaginary recipe for the best ipa ever. Pours a golden copper with a nice white head. Great lacing. The aroma is simply amazing. Simcoe AND Columbus?!?! There is a little bit of something for every kind of hophead in this. Floral, piney, citrus, grapefruit, and some nice caramel malt. The flavor starts out with caramel malt and cirtusy grapefruit. Then floral, pine, and more citrus, and joyfully bitter. Medium to full bodied with light carbonation. At 95 ibu’s and this hop profile this is just what the hop doctor ordered. My new favorite ipa.
