blutt59 (657), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 11, 2008 bottle, great nose of cotton candy and green pinecones, color is burnt orange with small seafoam head, flavor is a mix of grapefruit and caramel with some apricot at the end, great slightly bitter finish
koterba (2), north wales, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Aug 26, 2008 poured well and had a typical west coast aroma of pine with some grapefruit. tasted like they dumped as much cascade hops into an ipa; overal unbalanced and too hoppy. this is coming from an ipa fan nqualls (185), Tennessee, USA Aug 24, 2008 12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. Poured a clear amber color with three fingers of white head. Lacing was moderate. Aroma was of pine and floral hops with a little caramel. Flavor was bitter up front and in back, but well balanced with malt. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Great brew. LennyH (60), Delaware, USA Aug 24, 2008 I’m pretty shocked. I fully expected to really like this brew but was underwhelmed. It’s very bitter and astringent but not at all balanced. Not a top tier IPA by any stretch. mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 24, 2008 [1620-20080822] 12floz bottle. Floral hops and pine resin aroma. Murky, medium orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head and lots of floaties. Hoppy resin pine flavour has a bitter bite with a mild butter finish. Medium-full body is bitter. Very bitter but a nicely made brew.
(w/ jerc) MrChopin (165), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 23, 2008 Amber with a small white head. Nose is strong hop scents with grapefruit, lemon, grass. The flavor is a little weaker with citrus and caramel in the flavor, but there’s a nice wood that comes through. A little too sticky and oppressively coating.
