Commercial Description:
Our latest seasonal release is so hoppy it will pop your taste buds with flavour! This artfully crafted pale golden coloured ale is delightfully different. Like the IPA’s the British soldiers of the 19th century had brewed for them in India. No added sugar. Best enjoyed 8-10 degrees Celcius.

Hazy orange colour with big white head. Bold hop flavours with touch of malt. Not a flash IPA, underwelming.

IPA? No. weird pseudo-hefeweizen without wheat? yes. something must have gone wrong here, no hops but plenty of weird esters and phenols...

Like some others here I got the butterscotch aroma and flavours of Diacytel. Also got the banana aroma too, definietly not what I expected (or wanted). Found it to be malty, not the hoppy-hop-monster the brewers description indicates.

Banana esters on the nose. More esters in the flavour. It has a strange hoppy-banana thing going on. Kind of wheat-beer like. I have it on good authority that there was no rogue wheat beer yeasts infections in this beer and it’s supposed to taste like that. Not bad, just atypical.

Bottle at Malthouse, first day availiable, so fresh.
Pours golden, thin white head. Aroma has a lot of sweet malt, and and earthy hop character.
The flavour is full in the mouth, a good strong lingering bitterness. Sweetish bready malt is quickly balanced with medium earthy hops.
A pretty solid IPA, just nothing amazing.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a fluffy white head. Oh no, diacetyl on the nose, not strong but enough to be off putting. In the mouth, the malt is all butterscotch as well. Shame, as I can just sense a good hopping and bitterness. I will give it another go to rerate.

Bottle, purchased at Centre City New World Market. Very funky Andy Warhol-inspired label (I love it-- just because you’re green doesn’t mean that you have to be dull!). Pours a bright golden yellow with a big long-lasting head. Big citrus oil, resin, perfumy aroma. Very nice, with an intangible unique quality to it, a little limey perhaps? Fresh fruity hop flavour in abundance, mostly citrus with a little mango rind. Malts are clean but subdued. Finish is soundly bitter. Lighter mouthfeel that lends this brew some dangerous drinkability.
