| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 12, 2009 500ml bottle. Looks the goods pale yellow, faint haze but the most brilliant persistant head I’ve seen in ages. Some weird moderate dms characteristics in the aroma. Flavours on the bitter side, slightly metallic and mineral with some lemon soap coating the cheeks. Different but I’m not sure all in a good way. sdriessen (208), Dunedin, New Zealand
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Pours slightly cloudy, pale yellow with a soft, white head.
Aromas are of lemon, passionfruit, pineapple and a floral hops. Hints of ginger spice and a straw-like malt.
Flavours are dominated by a nice, hoppy bitterness which is brought down a notch by a honey sweetness. Some slight ginger in the flavours as well.
Finishes dry and hoppy. Clean on the palate and very refreshing indeed! MBison (548), Southern Highlands, Australia
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Bottle (500ml). Poured clear yellow with a lose, rocky, white head which was fully diminishing. Aroma was of sweet malts with honey, cooked corn faint hoppy notes and a squeeze of lemon. Flavor was a light grassy hop bitterness with lemon citrus, sweet grainy malts and pleasant notes of weeds/grass in the finish. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and a ok finish. TheGrandMaster (1862), Auckland, New Zealand
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Bottle, pours a crystal clear pale gold, with evident carbonation and a white frothy head. Citrus hops on the nose, slightly grassy and some grainy malt. A bitter malt palate, moderately crisp with a more earthy malt finish. Not a bad lager. highlandlad (1261), Sydney, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2008 A superior NZ lager. It doesn’t have enough character to rate higher but it does what it does very well. Very sessionable and without any obvious faults. Moderate head retention. A very clean, sweet aroma. In fact, it’s so clean, there’s barely an aroma. Evident Hallertau but mainly malt-driven. Fairly fizzy mouthfeel but not out of the character for the style. Sweet palte malts smooth the way to a mild bitter finish. Dry and very more-ish. I guzzled this. Streets ahead of the macro lagers that fill NZ bottle shops. Dunedin seems to be on its way to becoming a bit of a beer Mecca. (500ml bottle from Camperdown Cellars. BB Nov 08) Papsoe (15009), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 7, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, golden with a small, white head. Lightly sweet malt aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet malts and some brewing cereal (which apparently isn’t present). The finish is dry. Not at all exciting. 270108
