BeerBelcher (716), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Nov 4, 2006 Copper color is nice. Head is small tight bubbles that are typical of what you’d see on mainstream full-calorie beers that have half-way decent head retention.
Smell is really pretty unimpressive. Hop odor is pretty faint for a product of this name.
Flavor seems really malty on the front end, and the hops aren’t really noticeable until the finish. Again, this is underwhelming surprising for a product of this name.
All in all, I’m not impressed. I know that A-B must have a robust R&D capability. However, I don’t feel that this product is a good demonstration of a capability that must exist within the nation’s largest brewer.
BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Aug 8, 2008 Semi-sweet but weak malt profile, has a bit of a sour grainy nose, with a slight bit of citrus. Nothing to remember, very forgettable. brokephibroke (37), , Colorado, USA Jul 8, 2008 Orange gold pour with a loose white noisy head. Weak malt nose. Easy drinking simple lager, nothing redeeming at all. dlihcsnatas (45), Texas, USA Jun 14, 2008 Nice gold color with a citris aroma. The taste is that of malt with a fruitish style hop that gives a nice balance. Can’t say it is because of organic ingredients or just a good brew master but this one is better than your typical domestic lager. carl4beer (270), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA May 19, 2008 12 oz. pours clear and deep golden with a nice head. aroma is slight of banana bread. mouthful has got a decent malt body with some zippy carbonation. i would just like to know why AB is nowhere to be seen on the label... they sneak around in the micro brew shelves... phishpond417 (1418), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 19, 2008 Ab’s attempt at a decent organic beer was a little weak to me. Pours an amber body with a hoppy aroma. The first initial taste is of citrus and then it fades away from there. Weak and a tad on the watery side. a little unbalanced.
