The cask handel reminds me of Cardinal Richelieu.Alright beer considering its something Greene King ’contrived’. Maltiness is caramel and too much dust.Estery apple and some spicy hop .I like Corona more...

Cask conditioned - handpump Lloyds No 1 , Northampton A copper coloured beer with a big white loose head. Typical GK diswater aroma but with a little added fruitiness. There are some floral notes in the mouth and a little bitterness. This type of mass produecd beer does benefit from a little extra alcohol strength.

From the cask at San Diego Brewing Company. Somewhat weak aromas of fruit and touches of citrus. Flavor fell off a bit more with some more fruit and a touch of bready yeast. Just Okay.

A step above the bottled version, a bit more complexity. Some background of dried fruit. Bitter finish. Drinkable.

No better on Cask than in a bottle or a can. Once again Abbot ale has a mixture of different flavours, its quite a complex beer but for me this one does not cut the mustard.
