zach8270 (1407), Henrietta, New York, USA Apr 6, 2008 (cask @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Orange pour with a creamy white head. Aroma is light and rather sweet with a light touch of hops and some grass. Flavor is sweet malts, biscuit dough, some slight fruity sweetness, and a light hop touch near the end. Leaves a slightly bitter finish on the tongue.
MrAleman (77), guildford, Surrey, England Sep 5, 2008 Updated: Sep 6, 2008Probably better on cask than in a can or bottle. This is just not really to my taste still, over complicated flavours throughout, its not the best ale in the World. Maybe worthy of another chance. thewolf (3650), Kolding, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Cask @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours a great redish copper with a great, creamy, off-white head. Super duration. Mild aroma, some caramel and light grassy hops. Fine mouthfeel, light carbonation and a fine dry feel. Flavour starts off with quite a bit of sweet caramel and butterscotch. Then a good, dry hoppiness sets in. Pine, grass and flowery. Nice enough. greenmanalishi (205), Leicestershire, England Aug 15, 2008 a middling british ale, soft hints of nut, malt, caramel, slight fruitiness in the finish. nice smooth finish off cask Jonte (376), Gothenburg, Sweden Aug 8, 2008 Cask at The Wharf, Aalborg, Denmark.
