AR: hops, hunny, pear
AP: copper coloured body, wee bubbly foamhead, fully lasting
F: bitternes, hunny, pear, some carbornation, the ale is not what you expexted by the aroma. This sadly a poor product. I excpect that bottle and even more draft must be better (you hope). Frovigalning (378), , Sweden Oct 11, 2009 It poured a dark golden liquid with a medium sized dirty white foam that left a little bit of lacing. It had a smell and taste of malt, caramell, some grassy hops and something sweet. The mouthfeel was a bit stingy, specially at the back of my mouth. It also had an alcohlic finish, not to strong though. I’m not sure what it is but I didn’t really enjoy this beer that much. halfonit (385), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Oct 4, 2009 Clear dark golden color. Aroma is mostly of malts, with some caramel and slight hops in the undertones. Taste has sweeter malts with some hops. This has that typical hard watered english ale flavor. Leaves a little bit of a bite in the end. Nothing too impressive. chrisv10 (328), Denmark Oct 3, 2009 50 cl can. Clear deep amber body with small off-white head. Flavour is malt, caramel and notes of fruit. PaulsPissed (32), Dublin, Ireland Sep 22, 2009 looks ok a decent amber colour. smells nice. smells of fruits and hops tastes as it smells, bit of a roasted flavor coming through and some sweet caremel. not the greatest beer ever but defiantly above average. probably get it again...eventually. MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Sep 17, 2009 16oz can - Aroma of toasted malts, rusty English water and a touch of caramel. Flavor matches with a subtle hop finish. Palate is creamy. Smooth English ale, but nothing I’d buy again. sound67 (155), Offenbach, Germany Sep 13, 2009 50cl clear glass bottle, as shown. Small white head, deep clear amber colour. Aroma of roasted malts, hops and citrus fruit, taste is oak, malts, citrus with a strong hoppy note - with medium, lasting bitter finish. Oily texture, good mouthfeel, medium carbonation. The remark made before that there is a "wine-like" quality too it is correct. Heavier, more characterful than the same company’s IPA - a very good premium bitter that nonetheless drinks easily and would make a good session beer. Greedy King rulez!
