Thanks to ekstedt & friends. Clear copper, offwhite head. Metallic aroma, somewhat unpleasant. Taste dominated by bitterness. Dryish mouthfeel. Light carbonation.

I tried this beer on May 9, 2008 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet. The beer poured a translucent rusty brown colour with a thin white head. The aroma was caramel malt, a little hops, and some nuttiness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, with little carbonation. The flavour is nutty, malty, with some hoppy bitterness

Tap... Poured clear with a thin white head. Aroma of skunky malt. Silky palate and flavors of spicy malt and more skunked flavors that carry through to some hops.

I was expecting a widget power turbulent huge head. Not so. This pours amber with a very modest off-white head and few lacings. Little aroma though nothing offensive either. The flavor was typical of the English pub ales we get in the U.S. Nice smooth flavor, hops and malts well balanced, and without the widget, little carbonation. Nice lightly bitter finish. Pleasant enough but would rather have the real deal. (in England)

On tap at Ace in the Hole. Lovely yellowish amber color, creamy head that stays for a long long time. Smooth, sweet floral and nutty flavors. Slightly bitter the way an almond would be. I enjoyed it immensly
