Bottle. Pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma of caramel with a hit of citrusy hops. Strong carbonation at first. Flavour is sweet malt with a bit of honey and fruity hop finish. Average palate. As with the cask version, decent enough, but not a first choice for me.

Pours rich amber with off white head. The aroma is sweet with hints of caramel. The flavor has a nice maltiness with very little bitterness.

Big can without the nitro. Amber orange color and slight head that dissipates in a flash. Whiskey, carmel, and vinegar nose. Fruity with strong alcohol taste. Flat and thin. Nasty alcohol finish. Perhaps the four pack I bought was old.

Amber color. Aroma is exactly what you would think from the style. Sweet malt with a hint of vegetable. On first swig this could be mistaken as a Bass. Tastes like just about any other ESB or bitter out of the UK. I have a craving for a bitter every now and then and if this was cheaper than Bass it would be bought.

17 oz can surprizingly without a widget. Slightly darker than a yellow pale ale. More like the color of light iced tea. Sweetish strong ale aroma. At first taste, pretty strong, much more than the alky percent would indicate. After it swishes on the palate, it becomes a little more mild. and mellows a little. Barely any carbonation ,if any. I probably would not buy this again tho I thought it to be better than expected.

16.9 oz. pub can - color of clear honey, with a thick tanish colored head - nose of light malts, cherry, and vanilla – taste of malt, light hops, and some red fruit - body is medium, and with light carbonation – aftertaste of vegetation , and coffee grounds

can. Body is the color of new motor oil with a small light head. Aroma is very nice and consists of dark fruit and malt. Body is light to medium and very little carbonation is present. Flavor is pleasantly fruity and floral with a hint of hop. Nitrogen can be detected. Bitterness is less than expected. While not very lively, this is a flavorful and aromatic offering and one of the better bitters I have sampled.
