Can: Weak but good cherry and lemon grass aroma. Clear copper, thin head. Unusual taste of low quality grains and good quality hops. Lemon grass finish. A bitter with character and flavor, almost an EPA.

Clear amber. The aroma is sweet and with some caramel. Caramel is also the most obvious flavour, also fruity with a sort of dull metallic quality. Decent hop bitterness provides balance and lingers on to a finish of respectable length. Quite boring... I’d hate to try the nitro-can.

I had this for the first time a while ago, and didn’t care for it. I went back with a more educated palate, and found it more pleasant. I like the tall can design, which is very English and traditional. The beer looks excellent when poured, a reddish-copper color with a foamy, off-white head that lasts well and produces quite a bit of lacing. The aroma is interesting; the mild sweetness and hop bitterness make a nice mix. The flavor is clear and clean, fairly hoppy (at least to my taste) and quite bitter. There wasn’t much complexity, but it was smooth and the tail wasn’t bad. If you drink from the can, there’s a faint metal taste to the tail. The palate was a little more watery than I like. This is pretty good overall, but I don’t think it will be one of my favorites. Old Speckled Hen is less hoppy to me (I’m a low-hops type) and Fuller’s ESB remains my standard for a bitter.

Sparkling amber pour with a slight head but good retention. Sweet fruit and malt aroma with a hint of yeast. Nice thick body to it with a simple sweet malt flavor. But, as some one else said there’s a strange mineral or metallic after taste.

Amberish color with a long last velvet head. It does look very nice. English malt/hop aroma. Smells similar to many. Flavor is a little initial English malt. Not to sweet, but perhaps a bit toasty with a nice moderate bitter finish. Moderatley carbonated. Very smooth. A good enjoyable beer.

This is a deep amber with a short but dense, long-lasting light tan head that leaves a little lacing. The aroma is faintly caramelly/toasty malt with flowery hops, nuts, leaves, pine, earth, and hint of fruit. The taste is a full caramelly, malty body with flowery, earthy, hops, faint fruitiness, hint of nuts and pine, a perfectly balanced bitterness with sweetness, followed by a long, smooth finish that slides over the toungue, leaving a nice toasted grain aftertaste. It’s smooth, drinkable, but very tasty: very satisfying and what I would expect and want from a good bitter. It has a perfect sweet-bitter balance with both traits persistent simultaneously.

Tap at Cheers, Yokohama. Malty aroma, earth tones, some sweetness, some spice. Clear amber color with a mid sized, thick head. Smooth, full body. Flavor of english malt, toasted, caramel, I swear a little bit of apple. The finish has a little noticeable alcohol. Easy to drink.

I assumed this was a pub can, but there’s no widgit to dispense nitrogen so i overflowed my beer when pouring it into an imperial pint glass. Malty, english malt, a little caramel, mild hint of spice. Pours clear amber with a dense white head, i like a little cloudiness. Malty, a little stale tasting, mild spicy hops, with an almost sour flavor. Not very good.
