50cl bottle. A bronze coloured beer with a small but thick beige head. It’s aroma is rather sweet with malty caramel notes. The taste is mildly sweet with plenty of caramel and nuts and hints of fruit. Somewhat low on hops with a light body and thin mouthfeel. An unsophisticated bitter that’s a fair introductory beer.

thick and creamy white nitrogen induced head forms slowly guinness style from the bottom up revealing a clear amber ale, slight sweet malty aroma, creamy body, light malt flavor with lots of lingering bitterness

Can: Poured a clear medium brown color ale with a small bubbly head with limited retention. Aroma of malt is slightly sweet with little hops distinguishable. Taste was also dominated by some discreet sweet malt with a dry ending. Body was about average with some average carbonation. A bit boring overall and would have profited from having more English hops to provide some floral notes.

Pours clear and red-brown, with a big creamy head that persists as lacing. The aroma is caramel, celery, lemon, and grain. The mouthfeel is surprisingly creamy, with the standard low carbonation of an English ale. The taste is of coffee beans, molasses, bitter hops in abundance, and some aspirin. The aftertaste is a bit like bitter tea. I had this on a couple occasions in England and it was never very exciting on tap, either. A fairly standard ale.

Middling ale - but one of the better ones available in a can in my area. Not as hoppy as I’d like, but a good palate.

500ml bottle BB November 07, got one in date for a change! Drinking it in a glass straight from the cellar. Sweet light roasted malts on the nose, bit of toffee and nut action happening, slight earthy hop tang, but nothing too substantial. Pours a clean pale amber body with a bit of off-white fluff and lace. Body is a bit leaner than expected, mild carbonation, dryness on the tongue. Flavour is mildly sweet with some toffeed nut and mild roast coffee malt character, a hint of vanilla and apple fruitiness, earthy hops towards a moderately bitter finish. An easy drinking bitter, seems a bit light on the hops.

On tap at Crown & Anchor Vegas. Dark amber with a heavy nitro cream head and lace. Don’t pick up much in the scent. Flavour is a bit interesting. Hint of nuts and almost a Guinness like sourness. Creamy pint.

Caramel malt aroma which is accompanied by a slight bitter hop aftertaste. A nice blend overall and worth a try.
