On tap at Crown & Anchor Vegas. Dark amber with a heavy nitro cream head and lace. Don’t pick up much in the scent. Flavour is a bit interesting. Hint of nuts and almost a Guinness like sourness. Creamy pint.

Caramel malt aroma which is accompanied by a slight bitter hop aftertaste. A nice blend overall and worth a try.

Bottle. Medium high white lasting head. Clear amber and good looking body. Relatively weak barley malt aroma with fruity notes. Flavor is just as indicated by the aroma. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste. General impression is that it feels a bit thin and watery.

Canette 500ml.

Pours deep brown into an English pint. Conglomerate off-white head recedes at a medium pace to spot the surface. Date and malt aromas. Upfront smoked caramel with a lasting bitter fig finish.

500ml can, bright amber color, with a thick beige head, toasty, yeasty fruity nose, of ripe apples, with a nutty, caramelized accent, with a toffeeis accent, a subtle flowery hop aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a fruity, grainy, malty character, of toasted and caramelized malts, and ripe apples, with a spicy floral hop accent, with a biscuity, toffee flavor, leading towards a fruity, malty, lingering mild hop bittering finish.

Pours a light amber with nearly no head. A sweet syrupy aroma - notes of maple syrup too. Tastes very malty & peaty, this is more an amber than a bitter as the hops aren’t terribly intrusive. Fuggles in the finish, slightly creamy and light body with good carbonation. I swear I can taste strawberry in there, somewhere. This is a good session beer, but the hops aren’t sufficient to bitter it to style.

Re-rate: Much better hopping, otherwise similar. Hops are fresh and leafy - just as they are when added to the brew kettle. Wow!
