A little bitterness and a lot of smoothness. I would have prefered some more hops, but it’s a nice beer. lovemyipas (420), sw burbs, Illinois, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 29, 2007 pours an orange gold with a one finger bubbly off white head that does not stick around. aroma is malt and hops. has a light body with ok lacing and good carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma with some small pine. as it warms it has some tea and grain aroma and flavor. it is a bit on the thin side, but an average, session-able, smooth ale i guess. has a little caramel taste to it as well but all in all a little bland. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

Brown with a bit of red in the color with a dense tan head. Nost is of malt some spice and a hint of vanilla. The taste is very unusual, extremely hoppy hit right off the bat, with an almost sweet caramel aftertaste. Very weird to start, but if you like hops, a damn nice beer! | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 19, 2007 Bottle, pours a clear amber, but with a filmy head and a bit of carbonation. A malty aroma that is quite sugary and a little acidic. Astringent and sweet on the palate, some malty anfd fruity flavours, but not too pleasant. tomthompson89 (1489), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 10, 2007 Bottled. Nice amber colour, small beige head. Aroma of caramel with some hops. The flavour is fruity with a nice bitterness. Not a strong body. An average ale, refreshing. DruncanVeasey (2753), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 7, 2007 A very different beast to the cask version, I’m afraid. Crystal amber pour with a thinning slick of off-white suds. Bolled-down hops and butterscotch in the nose. Paper-thin and chemically bitter. None of the big, fruity, malty richness of its cask brother. struggling to finish it. Faintly toffeeish liquid cardboard. garthicus (1309), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2007 Lovely amber colour, small head, fruity/hoppy aroma, an initial fruity taste with a nice hoppy aftertaste. Light enough tasting to have a few on a session, nice beer, will have again.
