Nitro-tap at the Britannia Arms. Amber with a thick nitro head that stays in a weird clump until the end. Not a terribly expressive nose, but I didn’t expect much to get through that dense cap. A faint malt sweetness shows, nonetheless. The flavor is on the sweet side with a rather plain malt flavor and subtle hops. There is a medium fruitiness that leads to a grainy finish and a lingering tang. The body is lighter and pretty flat. Rather boring on the whole, and usually found along style-mates like Fullers and Wells, making it even less appealing.

bottle. Poured clear auburn with lasting off-white head. Light hoppy caramel aroma. Smooth, some what watery mouthfeel. Sweet roasted malty flavour. Dry finish, moderate bitterness.

Pint can. Pours clear amber with a 2 finger creamy beige head that leaves great lacing. The nose is malt and grain. The taste is malt, light nuts and a touch of bitter grass in the finish. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty boring.

Boks 0,5l kjøpt på Systembolaget i Kiruna. Mørk gyldenbrun farge. Fint kremaktig skum. Aroma av ristet malt og frukt. Fyldig smak: Frukt og ristet malt. Behagelig. Litt brent bitterhet i ettersmaken. Bringer absolutt fram minner om cask-utgaven. KI=3

Can. Dark copper color with a medium head. Aroma of biscuit, caramel malts, light toast and a bit of fruit. Very fruity flavor with a large amount of bready and biscuit malt. Some caramel sweetness. Finishes with a light earthy hop. I’m honestly thinking this is underrated.
