N2 can couldn’t what the beer was expect dry. Light floral nose with a bit of nuttiness and a hint of bitterness. Would like to have on cask someday and I did and it sucked. Page 197 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide only 375 out his 500 Classic Brews to go.

This Ale pours adark orange colour with a off white head. To the nose it is slightly peppery with a little citrus. Very orange scented. First taste is thin but hoppy. Quite bitter taste. Almost acidic. Plate is floral with lingering bitterness.

From can: Crystal clear light amber color with small off white head. Aroma is odd, mostly malty, caramel, with typical english esters of pear, cherry, but with an off, burnt smoky note that smells like a cigarette butt. Flavor is malty, note of pear and caramel, with a thin palate, balanced finish. Not all that good, IMO.

Bottle. Clear copper colour with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel and lots of hops. Bitter caramel flavour. I quite like this beer.

Can (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber, medium creamy head. Slightly roasetd malt aroma with burnt sugar and tropical fruits, some herbal hops. Light to medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. A good bitterness bite in the finish.

Can - 500ml. A nice clear amber copper colored beer with bit of creamy head. Not much of an aroma, smell reminds me of citrusy fruits and my grandmothers christmas cake. Not bad in the taste department, although rather straight forward hoppy flavor and some vague maltness in the background, not really much to talk about here. Mouth feel was nice, creamy, not too carbonated, not watery, pretty good. Not a bad beer in any way, but nothing special either.

Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel color with a large yellow-tan head. The aroma was sweet and malty though somewhat faint. The mouthfeel was fairly smooth. The flavor was light sweet and nutty malts with a vague hint of fruity hops and a lightly bitter finish.

Can - 500ml. Dark amber body with moderate carbonation and a thin but lasting off-white creamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with light roasty and oaky notes. Its hoppy taste is well balanced but lacks complexity. It ends with a good bitter finish. Average ESB.
