From the can, drank at cellar temp. Enjoyed the toffe/caramel-like aroma. Nice taste, a bit of a creamy feel in the taste. Will purchase again

500 ml bottle. Copper brew, very strong caramel aroma with notes of toffee. Very thin, watery, heavy malty corn syrup, small bitterness. Very light bodied, very dry, like chewing paper. Note enjoyable, now what to do with the rest of this stuff??? At least I can use the bottle for homebrew.

I knew there was a reason commercial Brit ales turn me off...this is a glowing example. Crystal clear amber color no cap to speak of... weak lacing...soft carbonation Little aroma at all outside the lightest whiff of wet hay from the hops. Weak body watery mouth feel, limp lacking character hard to taste malt in this... all I get is a sort of weak "tea" decernment that seems to have been brewed with hops instead of tea leaves. Weak and undefined taste from front to finish...disappointing..like experiencing a cold glass of weak watery tea. I wouldn’t even cook with this.

Can. Copper colour. Nice fruity aroma with bready maltiness. Flavour: toasty malt and caramel with some toffee, floral and fruity. Nice bitter dry finish.

500 ml can - pours clear amber with almost no head unless you do a straight dump, in which case a smallish white head appears. Sourish aroma, along with sweet malt and some Fuggles. Taste is fairly standard for the style - malty, slightly bitter mouthfeel and finish, and nicely undercarbonated. Decent, but not something I’m dying to rush out and buy again. UK Bitters/ESBs are quickly becoming ubiquitous on LCBO shelves for some reason - guess they’ve exhausted their supply of Eastern European lagers - and this isn’t one of the better ones. Would probably be much more enjoyable fresh from a cask, but as it stands, the canned version that’s been sitting warm on LCBO shelves for weeks isn’t doing much for me.

Can. Pours a clear and bubbly dark amber with an average size beige head. Aroma’s quite fruity and sweet along with some funky UK hops. Flavour starts sweet with some caramel malt and fruit and finishes with a pleasant bitter finish. Average bodied. Nothing great but it’s pretty good, nothing wrong with it really, I’d have it again.

Ano novo 2007. Ótima cerveja inglesa. Encorpada, coloração caramelo, uma ruiva. Espuma ambar, sempre presente. Suave, com sabor de grãos torrados. Fácil de tomar, vale a pena outra lata.

LCBO can- Pours slightly hazy yellow, with a medium sized white cap. Aromas of subtle english hops, white bread, some sugars. FLavours are fairly hoppy for what it is (Challenger?), herbal/floral leafy greens, touch of cookie dough, some varsol? Bitter fruity/sweet finish. The best out of the new batch of UK beers at the LCBO.
