Nice hop and some goodish malt on the aroma. Toffee and some coffee. Just not as good as on draught. Boy that pasteurisation/filtration, it just strips all the flavour out and leaves a metallic feel in the mouth thehipone (197), Australia

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Can. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head that fades quickly. Light, slightly sweet aroma. Taste is again slightly sweet, along with a light but balanced offering of hops and malt. Somewhat watery finish. AlchemistZ (493), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Transluscent, orangey amber in color with an almost non-existent head. Aroma is fruity in malt and fermentation with rich, soft toffee that is deeply satisfying. Flavor is soft and balanced. There is a touch of everything from the aroma with some nice woody, English hops and quite possibly some oxidized, rubber-band character that is the only flaw to me. The subtle sweetness of caramel malts coupled with a dry, biscuit malt underpinning is a nice touch to the flavor profile. Almost perfect except for the rubberband flavor. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2006 Bottle. Poured a copper color with a large off-white head that diminished slowly and had good lacing. Well balanced sweet malt and hop aroma. Medium body with a thin texture. Good malt and hop spice flavor with a moderate finish. Drinkable brew. DrnkMcDermott (1862), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2006 Half-liter can from <a href=http://ratebeer.com/Place/illinois/downers-gr Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove. Nice deep copper colored pour, light tan head, about half an inch in a shaker. Good fresh beer smell, even a note of fresh hops. Nice caramel sweetness, plentiful but absolutely not cloying. As I said, hops taste very fresh and grassy, nicely balanced. For a force carbonated can, it does a slight approximation of an English draught in the slightly "watery" mouthfeel. Should have let this one warm up a little bit, perhaps.
